Dog registration for 2009/2010 has now expired and Council has issued dog registration notices, with payment due by 30 September 2010.
There are substantial discounts on registration charges for pensioners and also de-sexed animals.
Rockhampton Regional Council requires dogs residing in the Region to be registered, however up until 12 December, some areas in the Region are exempt. From 12 December 2010, dog and registration across the Region will be mandatory. Please contact Council’s Customer Service Centre on 1300 22 55 77 for details on your registration requirements.
Exclusions may apply to some dogs, which meet Council's eligibility requirements as working dogs.
If you intend to desex your dog but at present are unable to do so due to its age, you must register your dog as an entire dog, paying the required fee for the current registration period. If during the same registration period you supply a copy of veterinary desexing certificate(s) accompanied by a written request for a refund, you will be provided a pro rata refund for the current registration period only.
