Chief Executive Officer


Rockhampton Regional Council’s new Chief Executive Officer, Mr Evan Pardon has extensive experience in local government and has made a significant contribution to the growth of this Region as Deputy CEO and General Manager of the Infrastructure and Planning Unit.

 

Evan aged 40, has been living on the Capricorn Coast for the past six years and worked for the former Livingstone Shire Council.  Evan is a qualified engineering technologist, graduating from the University of Southern Queensland.

 

Selected from a broad field of applicants, Evan demonstrated his leadership and strong executive skills, his people skills and an approachable attitude.   

 

Evan has made a commitment to Council and its constituents to deliver on Council’s key priorities:

 

  • Forward Planning which will ensure that the growth of the Region is well managed and ratepayers receive value for money;
  • quality, responsive Customer Service; and
  • Productivity and Efficiency in all of our activities.

A keen sailor and fisherman, in his spare time Evan can often be found out on the water with his three teenage sons.  Evan has a real passion for the Region and looks forward to working with the organisation and the community to reach our vision of the being the most liveable community in the world.
